Are you interesting in being part of the dynamic and growing CalArts team? There are many ways you can get involved and if you have an idea that is not listed here, please contact us and let us know. We are open to suggestions and new ideas.

We currently have openings
in the following areas:

Board members - Our board of directors and officers are the four founding members of CalArts who have grown the organization to where it stands today. We are currently expanding our board and we anticipate adding two to three additional members this year. Qualifications we seek are individuals who are active in the community, have a deep-rooted interest in literature and the arts, and are interested in helping us raise funds and grow our organization. Please contact Stelli Munnis, Executive Director, at 415-563-1816 or stelli@calartsandletters.org, if you or someone you know is interested in serving on our board.

Editor for online journal and blog - Our online journal features poetry, essays, and book reviews. We are currently featuring work by the following writers: J. S. Absher, Coyla Barry, Robert G. Cohn, Ann Garbett, Mary Golding, Maura High, Richard Jones, Debra Kaufman, Florence Nash, and A. Conrad Neumann. The new team member will be responsible for selecting the writing for the journal, creating and managing a blog on our Web site that covers topics on reading, writing, literature, art, and/or film, as well as inviting guest writers. This is currently an unpaid position. If you would like to apply for this position, please contact Stelli Munnis, Executive Director, at 415-563-1816 or stelli@calartsandletters.org. Please send your bio via e-mail.

Writer's cooperative members - Pessoa Press, our writer's co-op, has openings for serious writers who wish to publish their work and be part of a peer-review process. Members take a proactive role in the publishing process and contribute financially to all projects of the press. Writers in the co-op must be committed to their own writing process as well as contribute their editing and reading skills to other members of the co-op. We will be adding approximately four new members this year. Interested writers should submit a sample of their writing and a short bio for consideration to pessoa@calartsandletters.org.
